Documents and summary

ControlReq.Description
Select DocumentsNoDropdown of documents already in the account; you can attach more than one.
Upload and AttachNoUploads a file from your computer and attaches it to the event. Files of any type are accepted. Image files (such as JPEG and PNG) can be viewed in the file viewer and on the Documents tab. Other file types can be downloaded.
Selected Inventory SummaryNot an inputSummarizes the lots, containers or inbound shipments you selected. Shows "No lots, containers, or inbound shipments selected." until you select inventory.

Inventory selection by event type

Event TypeInventory Selection
CommissionAdd Commission Lots: Add Lot creates a row (product, Lot Code, Quantity, Remove). Add Lot is disabled until a product is chosen. Lot Code is required; for an item tracked by serial, a serial is required instead, according to the item's Traceability Type.
ObserveLots and Containers tabs, a Search lot inventory box, and columns Lot, Product, Location, Quantity, Unit of Measure, Consume / Available. Observe can adjust a Lot's quantity (for example to re-weigh Lots as they are received or during stock taking) but does not change the Lot number.
AggregationLots selection with partial Consume amounts, plus a container identifier (see Aggregation container identifier).
ShipLots, Containers and Direct Ship tabs. Part of a lot can be shipped. See Direct Ship and Direct Receive.
ReceiveLots, Containers, Direct Receive and Inbound Shipments tabs. A Receive posted with Direct Receive does not require an earlier Ship. When a Receive is linked with Link Trace Info, it requires a Ship event, the only event type that can be linked to it. On a Receive, Link Trace Info lets you link upstream events that occurred with a date/time prior to the Direct Receive's date/time. See Direct Ship and Direct Receive.
DisaggregationContainers tab with columns Container, Identifier Type, Location, Quantity. Whole container only; no quantity entry.
TransformLots tab with Consume / Available, plus Output Products (see below). The Containers tab cannot be used: disaggregate the container first.
DecommissionLots tab; partial Consume amounts are allowed. The Containers tab cannot be used: disaggregate the container first. A Disposition is required; there is no Reason field.

In Consume / Available, the consume amount defaults to the full available quantity and can be reduced. When an event acts on existing inventory, Wholechain takes the lot or serial from the inventory you select.
