Template Manager
Labels reference: template manager.
Table columns
| Column | Description |

| Preview | Thumbnail of the template. |
| Template Name | The template name. |
| Status | Draft or Published. A Published template shows an information icon when it has a newer edit that has not been published (tooltip: There is a newer edit version that has not been published yet.). |
Row actions
| Action | Shown when | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Edit | Always | Opens the Design Editor. For a published template this opens a new editable version. |
| Publish | Draft templates, and published templates with an unpublished edit | Publishes the current edit version. A message reads Version published successfully. |
| View Published | Published templates | Shows the published version. |
| Delete | Always | Asks you to type the template's name to confirm (see Messages). |
Only templates created in your account are listed here. Wholechain-supplied templates are available to choose when you add a label or clone a template.
Add Template drawer
Add Template at the top right opens the drawer. The expand icon enlarges it.

Create (button) makes the template as a Draft and opens it in the Design Editor. A cloned template starts with the chosen template's layout.
Template lifecycle
| Stage | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | New templates start here. Draft templates cannot be chosen when adding a label. |
| Published | Published templates appear in the Select a Template table of the Add Label drawer. |
| Editing a published template | Edit opens a new editable version. The information icon in Status shows that a newer edit has not been published; Publish publishes it. Publishing changes to your own template does not change labels already created from it. |
| Wholechain templates | Labels created from a Wholechain template are updated when Wholechain updates that template. |
