Purpose
See every Trade Partner in your network with its connection status, identifiers and number of Locations. Narrow a long list to the partners you need, show the columns that matter to you, download master data for selected partners and archive partners you no longer work with.
Before you begin
- Select Trade Partners under Master Data in the left-hand navigation bar. The page opens on the Trade Partner List tab. The Invites tab sits next to it (see Invitations).
- Your own company is in the list too. It shows (Self) after its name and is Wholechain Connected.
- The Connection column shows one of three statuses: Wholechain Connected, Externally Connected or Not Connected. They are described under Connection values below, and in full in Get started with Trade Partners.
Read the Trade Partner List
The tab shows the number of Trade Partners beside its name, a search box, the filters Filter by TP Name(s) and Filter by Connection Status, the Add Trade Partners button, a gear icon, a table and page controls. The columns are described in the Field and action reference.

The Trade Partners list. Use search, the two filters, and Add Trade Partners at the top of the page.
To add partners, select Add Trade Partners (see Add Trade Partners). To open a partner's record, select its name (see Trade Partner details).
Open Trade Partner settings
Click the gear icon at the top of the Trade Partners page (or open Settings with the gear icon at the bottom of the left-hand navigation bar), which opens Master Data Settings > Trade Partner. The options there are described in Master Data Settings and are not repeated here.
Search the list
Click the search box

And a PGLN:

Tip. The search box placeholder reads "TP Name, TP ID, DUNS, GLN". A PGLN value is matched by search.

Why it matters. Filtering lets you check, for example, which partners are not yet connected before you plan invitations.

Open Column Display
Select the filter icon at the right end of the table header. The Column Display panel opens.
Show or hide columns
Clear the check box beside a column to hide it, or select it to show it.

Download master data for selected Trade Partners
Select the Trade Partners
Tick the check box at the start of one or more rows. A selection bar appears at the bottom of the page and shows how many rows are selected.
Select Download
Select Download in the selection bar. Wholechain downloads an Excel file with the master data of the selected Trade Partners, showing all fields found on the Details tab.
For an account-wide download of master data, see Master Data Settings.
Archive a Trade Partner
Find the Trade Partner
Search or filter the list until you see the partner you want to archive.
Open the row menu
Select the ... menu at the end of the row, then select Archive. To archive several partners at once, tick their check boxes, then select Archive in the ... menu of the selection bar.
Archiving a Trade Partner also archives its Locations and removes all aliases from the partner and its Locations. Documents tagged with the partner or its Locations stay in the Documents tab, but the Trade Partner and Location tags are removed from them.
Archived Trade Partners are listed in Master Data Settings > Archived, on the Trade Partners tab. To restore them, see Archived. For the full effect of archiving, see the Reference Guide: Archive and restore.
Expected result
- The count beside the tab name, such as Trade Partner List 2, and the footer, such as 1-2 of 2 items, match what you filtered.
- The table shows the columns you chose, in the order you chose.
- An archived Trade Partner is listed in Master Data Settings > Archived, together with its Locations. See Browse and manage Locations for the Locations side.
Troubleshooting
- The table shows No Data. A partner must match every filter and the search text. Remove a filter chip with its x, and clear the search box with its x, until the partners you expect appear. There is no single clear-all button.
- A search finds nothing. Search matches the partner name, the Trade Partner Identifier, the DUNS number and the PGLN. Check that you typed one of these.
- A column is missing. Open Column Display (the filter icon at the right end of the table header) and tick the column, or select Reset to return to the default columns.
- A partner is missing after archiving. Archived Trade Partners are kept in Master Data Settings > Archived. See Archived.
- I cannot edit a Connected partner's details. See Trade Partner details and the Trade Partners FAQ.
- Something else. Contact support@wholechain.com.
