Labels – User GuideQuick reference

Quick reference

Wholechain Labels: quick reference. For everyone.

For: everyone.

Where this fits. Labels has three working levels: label designers lay out templates in the Design Editor, label managers link a Trade Item and set which inputs are editable in the Field Editor, and operators fill in and print from Label Entry.

Rules to remember

  • Only published templates can be chosen when adding a label.
  • A label cannot be renamed after it is created.
  • Publishing changes to your own template does not change labels already created from it. Labels made from a Wholechain template are updated when Wholechain updates that template.
  • Values entered in Label Entry are used for that print run only.
  • Deleting a shared label also deletes it from your Trade Partners' accounts.
  • Serialization needs both Start and End; each page replaces the AI 21 value with its number.
