PO Tracker – ReferenceModule overview

Module overview

PO Tracker reference: module overview.

This reference lists the screens, fields, columns, actions, values, rules and messages of the Wholechain PO Tracker module. Interface labels are in bold. Required fields are marked Yes, No or Conditional.

Purpose

PO Tracker records purchase orders (POs) so they can be connected to the shipments that move product against them. It is a traceability tool: a PO's Status shows whether Wholechain has seen shipment activity that matches the PO. It is not a commercial or financial record of fulfillment, payment or acceptance.

Where to find it

Select PO Tracker in the left navigation, under the workspace name. The module opens on Supplier POs. The Purchase Orders access setting must be on (Organization Settings > Purchase Orders; see Settings).

Tabs

Your self Trade Partner is the Trade Partner that represents your own organization. The module has three tabs, which show a live count. A PO's tab depends on which Trade Partner owns the origin Location and which owns the destination Location.

Self POs usually arise automatically from traceability events. They give context for movements between your own Locations: what moved, between which Locations, and which items. Self POs are not added manually.

When you add a single PO, the tab that is open decides the type created. In a bulk upload, the PoType column decides the tab, not the open tab (see Bulk upload template).
