Location Groups

Reference for the Location Groups tab: the Add Location Group form, group drawer tabs, Manage Locations, Bulk Link Locations and the group Data Policy tab.

A Location Group is a named set of Locations managed together. A group contains Locations but does not own them, and deleting a group does not delete the Locations in it. For the steps, see Location Groups.

Group Data Policy tab

A group's data policy is a sub-group of the universal Locations policy. It is managed on the Location Groups sub-tab of Master Data Settings > Location, and also in the group's Data Policy tab (see Master Data Settings). Data policies must first be switched on for the whole account by an Admin in Organization Settings > Account (see Account settings). Values are entered on each individual Location, and a policy for one Location is set on its own details drawer (see Location details).
