## Getting started It records purchase orders and compares them with shipment and receive events so you can see which Trade Partners provide traceability data. See the [About PO Tracker](/user-guides/po-tracker/overview) page. No. **Status** describes traceability only. It does not show that all quantities arrived, that delivery is complete, or that payment is settled. It is the Trade Partner that represents your own organization. See the [About PO Tracker](/user-guides/po-tracker/overview) page. The tab depends on who owns the origin and destination Locations. Supplier POs go from another Trade Partner to you, Customer POs go from you to another Trade Partner, and Self POs stay between your own Locations. See the [About PO Tracker](/user-guides/po-tracker/overview) page. They show movements between your own Locations and arise automatically from events. They are not added manually. See the [About PO Tracker](/user-guides/po-tracker/overview) page. The **Purchase Orders** setting may be off. Ask an administrator. See the [Open PO Tracker and find a purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/open-and-find) page and the [Set sharing defaults](/user-guides/po-tracker/sharing-defaults) page. ## Finding and reading POs Type part of the PO number in **Search PO number...**, or use the partner, status and item filters together. Select **Clear All** to reset. No PO matches your search and filters. Select **Clear All**. Open **Column Display** with the funnel icon. Hide, reorder, or select **Reset**. No Location was entered. Complete it with **View Details** or **Add Details**. A qualifying ship event can update them when the PO becomes **Fulfilled**. A Supplier PO's **Location** changes to the shipment's actual origin, and shows **Multiple Locations** when linked shipments come from separate Locations. **Item Count** counts the unique items across all linked ship events. See the [Add a single purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/add-single-po) page. Grayed-out fields cannot be selected. Some are set automatically to your self Trade Partner, and Location fields unlock after you choose the partner. See the [Add a single purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/add-single-po) page. The supplier's ship event sets the actual origin, so the field is optional and unlocks only after you choose the supplier. See the [Add a single purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/add-single-po) page. A required field is empty. Complete every field with a red asterisk. See the [Add a single purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/add-single-po) page. **PO Number**, the line item **Product** and **Quantity**, and the shipping fields marked as required for the tab you are on. See the [Add a single purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/add-single-po) page. **LBS**, **KGM**, **CASES** and **UNITS**, and **Per Unit**, **Per Case** and **Per Pallet**. See the [Add a single purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/add-single-po) page. It lets you enter quantities for one or more Locations on a line. See the [Add a single purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/add-single-po) page. ## Bulk Upload Open **Supplier POs** or **Customer POs** to start the upload. The **PoType** column in the file decides the tab each PO lands on. See the [Add many purchase orders with Bulk Upload](/user-guides/po-tracker/bulk-upload) page. A Trade Partner, Location or product identifier may not match an existing record, or a unit may not be one of the accepted values. Check the identifiers and compare the tab counts with your file. See the [Add many purchase orders with Bulk Upload](/user-guides/po-tracker/bulk-upload) page. About a minute for thirty POs. Refresh the list afterwards. See the [Add many purchase orders with Bulk Upload](/user-guides/po-tracker/bulk-upload) page. ## Sharing and suppliers A supplier completing the ship event form needs your shared Trade Items and target Locations. See the [Set sharing defaults](/user-guides/po-tracker/sharing-defaults) page. **With Revision** lets the connected partner propose changes to the PO details, and you are prompted to accept or deny them. **Without Revision** shares the PO without letting them change it. See the [Set sharing defaults](/user-guides/po-tracker/sharing-defaults) page and [Share a purchase order](/user-guides/po-tracker/manage-po#share-a-purchase-order) on the [Manage a purchase order: view, edit, share, delete](/user-guides/po-tracker/manage-po) page. A PO cannot be shared with a Trade Partner that is not connected on Wholechain. The share simply fails and no message explains why. No. The visibility defaults apply to Supplier POs only. See the [Set sharing defaults](/user-guides/po-tracker/sharing-defaults) page. ## Editing and deleting No. They cannot be edited. Only Supplier POs can be shared. Automatically created POs offer **Add Details** and **Delete PO**. No. The confirmation says the action cannot be undone. Events link automatically when the PO number and Trade Partner match the PO details. Link others manually. Open the PO's drawer, select **Select Additional Shipments**, find the event (its PO Number shows "-"), select it and choose **Include for PO**. Select **...** on the linked shipment, then **Unlink**. Unlinking does not change the shipment. Direct receives can be linked to a PO but do not make it **Fulfilled**. If the unlinked shipment was the only one linked to the Supplier PO, **Status** returns to **Unfulfilled**.
